Country of origin labelling and Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) negotiations were top of the bill at this year’s International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE). The show attracted over 30,000 delegates from 124 countries and GlobalMeatNews spoke to president of the North American Meat Institute (NAMI), Barry Carpenter, about the impact the initiatives were having on the American meat industry.
